VAT on quotes

Settings → business details. Tell GafferMate whether you're VAT registered and at what rate, and every quote and invoice follows it.

If you're registered, VAT is shown as its own line and your VAT number goes on the paperwork.

If you're not, no VAT is added and nothing on the quote implies there is any — no "plus VAT", no VAT line, no number.

Whether you should be registered, and what rate applies to a particular job, is a question for your accountant. GafferMate applies the setting you gave it; it doesn't give tax advice and neither should this help page.
