Anything estimated is marked. Lines priced from a rate you haven't given it carry a flag, and a banner at the top tells you how many. Those are the ones to look at first.
It checks itself for missing work. Before the quote lands it looks for the things that cost money later — walls with no foundations under them, a roof structure with no covering, a staircase with no balustrade, plasterboard to walls but not ceilings. On a big job it also checks the shape: if foundations come to 1% of a two-storey extension, something's been left out.
It shows its working. Quantities carry the sum that produced them, so "18.9m³" reads as "35m × 0.6m × 0.9m".
It is a very good first draft by someone who wasn't standing in the room. You are still the one who prices the job.
