Your first quote, start to finish

Help · Getting started

Four things, in order. The whole lot takes about twenty minutes the first time and about two minutes every time after.

1. Get your prices in. GafferMate prices from your rates, not from a national average. Photograph a few old quotes, upload a spreadsheet, or load the starter pack for your trade and edit it. See "Getting your prices in".

2. Tell it who's on the job and what a day costs. Settings → your team. This is what turns "two men for three days" into a real number.

3. Talk through the job. Hit the mic and describe it the way you'd explain it to the customer standing next to you. Sizes, materials, and — this is the one people miss — how long it'll take and who's on it.

4. Check it and send it. Anything GafferMate had to estimate is flagged on the line. Fix what needs fixing, then send it. Your customer accepts on their phone.
